St Cuthbert's has for hundreds of years been the Civic Church of this, the smallest city in England, and we value the continuing links with our community and with the three schools within our parish – St Cuthbert’s Infants,  St Cuthbert’s Juniors, and The Blue School .

Situated conveniently at the other end of colourful Wells High Street from Wells Cathedral, and near Wells coach station, the church is open every day of the week, and provides a friendly place to meet and make friends, with a small coffee bar open every morning Monday – Saturday. Others like to visit or just pop in for some spiritual peace and refreshment.

St Cuthbert’s is also part of the Diocese of Bath and Wells within the Church of England, and as such we seek to serve our local parish and community. We welcome enquiries about planning special events such as Baptism, Weddings, Funerals or other spiritual milestones in life. We take time to adapt the Church of England structures for such services to fit the hopes and ideas of those planning them. And incidentally, for those looking for a smaller location, anyone who is eligible to be married in St Cuthbert’s can also choose to be married in the little Victorian church of St Mary Magdalene Wookey Hole – and vice versa.

Because of its size, location and resonant acoustics we are also regularly hired for a wide range of musical concerts and special events, at which we can provide both alcoholic and non-alcoholic refreshments.
