Revd Prebendary Alastair Wheeler
Alastair has been the Vicar of St Cuthbert’s since the Summer of 2010, and is also the Vicar of our sister church of St Mary Magdalene in the nearby village of Wookey Hole.
Married with two adult daughters, he came to Wells from origins in the North East of England by way of London, and several parishes in the Midlands, and after 19 years in Nailsea and Tickenham in North Somerset. He is also a Prebendary of Wells Cathedral and Rural Dean of the Church of England churches in the local area – the Deanery of Shepton Mallet

Revd. Elizabeth Sidwell, Curate
Elizabeth graduated in History and then worked first in industry, and later as a development worker in Vietnam and Ghana before training for the ordained ministry. She has been at St. Cuthbert’s since 2010, and is enjoying the church, the town and her vegetable garden.

Alistair Glanvile, Reader
Alistair Glanvile is a retired farmer and lives at Westbury sub Mendip. He was licensed as a Reader in 1969 and joined St Cuthbert's in 2003. He is currently the Chairman of the St Cuthbert's Music Festival committee.

Graham Barrow, Churchwarden
I have been involved with St Cuthbert's since moving to Wells almost three years ago upon my retirement. Previously my wife, Patsy, and I lived in Yorkshire where I worked as a Town Planner.
In my spare time I enjoy walking, reading, photography and planning holidays! Thats when I HAVE any spare time from grand-parenting duties!!

Vera White churchwarden
Vera is a very busy lady. As well as serving her second term as churchwarden, Vera's other duties include Children's Protection Representative, serving on Cuthbert's Kitchen committee, helping with our Parent and Toddler Group (Cuddy's Ducks), and the Bananas Club (for primary school-age children). Other commitments include involvement in hymn planning, All Age service planning, the annual Holiday Club and our monthly Fairtrade Sale.
Vera is married to Ernie, and has three children and a stepson, as well as seven grandchildren and and four great grandchildren! In her spare time (!) she enjoys knitting, sewing, gardening and being a member of Ladies' Clubs. She admits, however, to being a reluctant cook!
